Casinha das Vinhas is located in the center of Sintra, with all amenities such as supermarkets, bars and restaurants close by. We are a 2 minute walk to the train station and around 5 minutes to the area of São Martinho.

Arrival by Rental Car
We suggest that you chose a car with GPS, especially if you are new to the area.
Please note that there are a number of toll roads in Portugal. Your rental company may ask if you want to have a Via Verde payment sensor for your car. This will allow you to drive through special lanes with a green V above at the toll booths. If not you will need to chose the lane with cash payment.
To avoid tolls to the house use the IC19.
You will be able to park on the streets around the house as this is all street parking
Arrival by Taxi
Upon landing at the airport if you are not renting a car, take a taxi from outside the arrivals gate. There is also an Uber/Bolt collection point at the Departures Terminal entrance. The journey from the airport will take between 20-40 minutes depending on traffic and will cost from €20.

Arrival by Train
Direct trains to Sintra run from Rossio Train Station in Lisbon. You can check timetables here. The journey is about 50 minutes and costs about €2.50. You will need to purchase a contactless travel card to make this journey.
To get to Rossio from the Airport it is easier to get an taxi/uber. You can take the metro but this can take 30 minutes, first taking the red line to Alameda, then changing to the Green line. You can plan your journey with the metro here. Otherwise is may be quicker and easier to take an Uber to Rossio.
