The House


Casa Três Picos is the one of a handful of houses that sits in prime positions along the oceans edge with a view that frames the three peaks of Monte Queimado, Monte da Guia and Montanha do Pico. It is situation Rua do Castelo, which references the old fort directly outside of the house to the right. This road is also known as Pasteleiro, which was the site of the first commercial businesses for the original settlers on the island.

The house was built in 1918 and was made famous on the island by featuring in the 2015 film Cinzento e Negro. It has since been turned into tourist accommodation and was newly renovated in the of 2020.

Downstairs there is a large master bedroom with kingsize bed, with two large windows so you can watch a stunning sunrise behind Pico right from your bed (should you wish to rise a little earlier).

The second double bedroom downstairs also shares the same beautiful view at the front of the house.

There is a large bathroom fitted to a high specification featuring walk in shower, wash basic and toilet. There is also a laundry area for guests to use.

There is a communal lounge with large L-shaped sofa, rocking chair, TV and music system. This leads into a fitted kitchen with electric hob/oven, microwave, fridge and all essentials for cooking.

Outside there is a small courtyard, ideal for taking your morning coffee, which then leads into an open garden with bbq and dining area.

Upstairs there is a large entertainment room with sofa and office area. There is also a double bed in case guests would like to spread out further or for larger parties.
