The Cão & Calf is located in the center of the beautiful village of Fajã Grande. The seaside village is located on an area of flat fertile land at the bottom of an imposing volcanic cliff that has been cut through by water flow creating a magical array of waterfalls surrounding the village. The waterfalls glisten in the sunlight and create sprays of water as they meet the Atlantic winds. It is no wonder this area is considered one of the most beautiful in the Azores.
This charming house is perched on top of a central rise in the center of the village, ensuring peace and privacy. It sits surrounded by 360 degree views of the countryside stretching across the dramatic cliffs beneath which Fajã Grande nestles. You can see the orange glows of sunset, tumbling mist over the cliffs, wild waves and winds and blistering sunshine all in one day from grounds of the house.

If you get lost the house is a pinned on Google Maps.
Once you drive through the village you will get to the ocean. Continue on the road as it bends to the right until you reach here and turn right up the steep road.
If driving on small European roads is not something you enjoy, you can always use the car park right ahead in the car park and walk up to the house (something our guests choose to do during there stay)
Otherwise…
Follow this road up and round to the left, then turn right and you will see the house
Continue forward into the driveway.
